Traffic Stop: Voices Against Human Trafficking
Traffic Stop started with two friends, Stacey Cahill and Lisa Molina, writing a novel. Once the novel was published, they realized that their work was just beginning. They found that many people were unaware and blown away by the number of children being trafficked in and around Lexington.
Stacey Cahill and Lisa Molina are excited to share the incredible achievements from last year, all thanks to the steadfast support of our community in our fight against human trafficking! Together, over the past 12 months, we’ve educated approximately 300 students and hundreds of adults about this urgent crime. We're also offering scholarships to businesses and individuals to attend essential prevention sessions to reduce the number of sex trafficking victims. To truly enhance the effectiveness of the mission, we have acquired and implemented a specialized, comprehensive curriculum developed by Freedom 4/24.
The funds raised from Give BIG Lexington will play a crucial role in supporting the mission and providing vital therapy for survivors. But our commitment doesn’t stop there! While Lexington already has valuable resources for crisis intervention and rescue, Traffic Stop is dedicated to empowering children directly. With your generous contributions, we can further empower future survivors and foster a safer, more nurturing community for all. Your support truly makes a profound difference!
