Optimist Club

We are organizing a food drive in response to the impending closure of the Tyson meat packing plant, which will impact approximately 5,000 employees and their families.

As many individuals will be facing job loss, we are seeking contributions form donors to help us raise the necessary funds to provide assistance to as many afected families as possible. Your support will play a vital role in ensuring that families, including children, have access to nutritious food during this challenging period.

Meeting the needs of young people in communities worldwide, Optimist Clubs “Bring out the Best in Kids” through community service programs. Optimist Clubs conduct positive service projects aimed at providing a helping hand to youth.

Club members are best known in their communities for their upbeat attitudes.  By believing in young people and empowering them to be the best they can be, Optimist volunteers continually make this world a better place in which to live.

The Lexington Optimist Club was chartered in 1979.  We as Optimists have had the privilege of providing services for the youth in our community for over 40 years.
