Lexington Racquet Center

Enthusiasm is heating up as the City of Lexington is getting closer and closer to funding the Lexington Racquet Center. More are envisioning advantages of year-year tennis and racquet sports, beyond the hundreds who enjoy these sports during warm months.

Construction of the Racquet Center has broken ground. Materials for the building have been arriving at the site. In mid-August, construction crews started preparing for and forming the footings to get ready to pour concrete. There have been a few delays with construction and materials, but optimism still remains that the project will be completed in Spring of 2024.

2023 total participants exceeded 900, up from 797 in 2021.

The City of Lexington is seeking to raise an additional $50,000 during Give BIG Lexington to help offset increasing costs of materials and addendum items that were not included in the initial bid.

Donors are invited to participate at any level they feel comfortable with, and all donations over $1,000 will be recognized as follows:

The City of Lexington and Lexington Tennis Association are reaching out to you to ask for your donation toward this exciting new building. Just as it was when we built the Lexington Fieldhouse, only your support can make this happen.

Thank You!
