In 2024, the City of Lexington will be celebrating its 150th anniversary. Our sesquicentennial celebration (150 years) of people from all walks of life settling in Lexington and finding "A Better Life" includes year-long festivities to mark this very special occasion and recognize our community's heritage, accomplishments, and community pride.

A special weekend of celebrations will be held June 28-30, 2024, and will be designed to engage and celebrate all of our proud citizens. Together, we are generations of those who came before us, as well as our diverse community, whose dedication and innovation have built the City of Lexington into the community we are all so very proud to call home.

Please give generously to support our grand celebration.

committee consisting of Mayor John Fagot, City Manager Joe Pepplitsch, Chamber Director Heather Heinemann; and community members Joe Jeffrey, Crystal Werger, Barb Batie, Brian Neben, and Max & Theresa McFarland are working together to plan events and commemorate the history of Lexington.  Please contact them to join in the planning process or volunteer with the celebrations.
