Small Contributions. A Playground Full of Possibilities.
Every gift helps build a place where children can play, grow, and make memories for years to come.
The Denker Memorial Playground was established in loving memory of Kay and Bill Denker in 2022. The playground was funded by monetary donations given in memory of Kay Denker with the support of the Lexington Community Foundation. Bill and Kay’s children: Mike, Curt, and Sarah, and their families, funded the rest of the playground. Bill and Kay always said, “The lake is for kids and dogs.”
As funds allow, we would like to add more play equipment and upgrades to the playground!
Arched Climbing Gym (Top Left): $4,700 | Large Purple Slide (Top Right): $7,000 | Climbing Round (Bottom Left): $4,000 Green Double Slide (Bottom Right): $15,000
The playground is located between Bass Bay and Pelican Bay, which has a beautiful view of Johnson Lake during the day and a star-filled sky at night. Kay and Bill would be overjoyed to know the playground continues to be used by many families.
