The Cozad Grand Generation Center is a vital resource for older adults in our community. Our mission is to provide services and programs that promote well-being, enhance dignity, support independence, and encourage involvement in community life.
What We Do
The Center helps seniors maintain good health and independence by:
Serving nutritious congregate lunches Monday–Friday.
Providing home-delivered meals to homebound or physically/mentally limited seniors.
Offering transportation for those in need.
Distributing 150 free produce boxes monthly in partnership with Food Bank of the Heartland.
Providing free groceries twice a week to an average of 140 community members.
Lending medical equipment like walkers, wheelchairs, and shower chairs at no cost.
Hosting foot clinics, blood pressure checks, and Tai Chi classes.
Creating community through card groups, coffee socials, and Rotary meetings.
Why We Need Your Support
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit—not city-funded. With rising food costs and wages, it is increasingly difficult to meet operating expenses. Yet, our services are more critical than ever as many Cozad residents rely on us for daily meals, health resources, and companionship.
We also fundraise through events such as Hay Days Bingo, the Holiday Food & Gift Festival, our “Souper Bowl,” and monthly dine-in/drive-thru meals, but these efforts alone are not enough to sustain operations.
How You Can Help
Your donation directly supports:
Daily meals that allow seniors to live independently at home.
Health and wellness programs that improve quality of life.
Essential operating costs that keep our doors open to the community.
By supporting the Cozad Grand Generation Center, you’re helping to ensure our seniors feel safe, valued, and cared for—today and for years to come.
