Cozad Hospital Foundation

Cozad Hospital Foundation was established in April 1981 for the purpose of supporting local healthcare and Cozad Community Health System. The Cozad Hospital Foundation plays an integral role in providing funds to Cozad Community Health System for medical equipment, capital improvements and the recruitment of healthcare providers throughout the Cozad area.

 

With your ongoing support, the Foundation will further elevate the quality and scope of healthcare available to our residents. Your support is vital in helping us continue to serve our community with quality, compassionate, patient-centered health and wellness services.

 

Our next planned event will be our Annual Fall Ball, slated for November 15th, 2025.

This advanced device will allow our care team to quickly assess heart rhythms, deliver life saving defibrillation, and monitor critical vital signs during emergencies.

 

By integrating seamlessly with our Avel eCare telemedicine platform, the LIFEPAK 15 will connect our local providers with remote specialists in real time speeding diagnosis, guiding treatment, and improving patient outcomes in time sensitive situations such as cardiac arrest, stroke, and severe trauma.

 

Ultimately, our goal is to ensure that when every second counts, Cozad patients receive the highest level of emergency care possible, right here at home.

Celebrating Excellence: We hosted our annual Fall Ball, honoring healthcare heroes by inducting them into the Cozad Healthcare Hall of Fame. This event not only recognizes exceptional service but also fosters pride, morale, and community connection.

 

Strengthening Our Workforce: We funded targeted recruitment initiatives to attract and retain skilled healthcare providers, ensuring our community continues to have access to quality care.

 

Community Engagement: The Foundation actively supports health system outreach events, helping educate the community on important health topics while adding engaging, enjoyable elements that make these events more inviting.

Money raised during Give BIG will help us purchase a LIFEPAK 15 cardiac monitor/defibrillator for our Emergency Department, an essential tool for saving lives in critical moments.

 

The LIFEPAK 15 is the gold standard in emergency cardiac care. It allows our medical team to quickly monitor heart rhythms and vital signs with precision, deliver life-saving defibrillation in cases of sudden cardiac arrest and provide advanced monitoring during transport and in the ER.

 

Even more importantly, this device can integrate with our Avel eCare telemedicine platform, connecting our ER team in real time with remote specialists. That means faster decision making, better coordination, and improved patient outcomes, especially in time sensitive emergencies like heart attacks, strokes, and severe trauma.

 

By funding this equipment, our community is directly investing in the ability to save lives, keep families whole, and ensure that world class emergency care is available right here in Cozad. Your Give BIG donation is not just a gift, it makes a difference between life and loss.

The total investment for the LIFEPAK 15 cardiac monitor/defibrillator is $30,000. We have already secured grant funding to cover half of the cost, and Give BIG donations will fund the remaining $15,000 needed to bring this life-saving technology to Cozad.
