Cozad AfterZone

At Cozad Elementary AfterZone, we provide high-quality, out-of-school programming for children after school and during the summer. Our mission is simple: to give students a safe, secure, and fun place to learn, grow, and connect outside of the regular school day.

Last year, our program proudly served 180 families during the school year and 130 families during the summer.

What We Provide:

AfterZone offers children a balance of academic, social, and personal development opportunities, including:

• Homework assistance to keep learning on track.

• Snacks and meals to fuel growing bodies and minds.

• Enrichment clubs featuring art, crafts, and engaging activities.

• Community connections through guest speakers, leaders, and events.

• Educational field trips that open doors to new experiences.

• Safe and supportive relationships with peers and staff.

Through surveys and ongoing feedback, families, teachers, and students consistently tell us the difference this program makes. Parents call AfterZone “amazing” and “thankful the program exists,” while teachers share stories of students who’ve grown socially and emotionally thanks to the supportive environment.

Why We Need Your Support

Funding allows us to expand opportunities for students, like career exploration with local parents, leaders, and businesses. Our programs inspire students to dream big while building real-world connections. This summer, our Art, Book & Career Fair Family Fun Night showcased kindergarten–2nd grade artwork, offered a free book fair, and featured 3rd–5th grade students presenting careers they’re passionate about.
