What We Do

L2 for Kids exists to make sure every child—regardless of circumstance—can walk into school with confidence, dignity, and joy. We provide under‑privileged children with brand‑new school clothing, offering not only practical support but a tangible expression of Christ’s love. By helping kids feel good about themselves, we help them step into the school year ready to learn, grow, and thrive.

How We Help the Cozad Community

Each year, L2 for Kids partners with Cozad families with children in grades K–12, giving them the opportunity to shop for their own new school clothes. Families choose the items their children love and will proudly wear, reinforcing autonomy and self‑esteem.

At our mission table, we also offer prayer and encouragement. We ask families if they have any prayer concerns and remind them that Jesus loves them—and we do too. This simple act of care strengthens relationships, builds trust, and creates a sense of belonging for families who may feel unseen or overwhelmed.

What This Project Hopes to Accomplish

Our mission comes alive in the moments we witness:

• The smiles on children’s faces as they leave with clothing they chose themselves

• The heartfelt gratitude from parents, grandparents, and caregivers

• Local volunteers showing up to help families shop

• Walmart setting aside a dedicated checkout lane and clerk just for L2 families

• Other shoppers noticing what’s happening and donating on the spot because they believe in the cause

With the funds raised, Cozad children will have the chance to shop for new school clothing that fits their style, their needs, and their personalities. New clothes can reduce bullying, ease anxiety, and help kids focus on learning instead of worrying about what they’re wearing. Confidence changes everything—and your support makes that possible.

Our Impact in Cozad

Since 2013, L2 for Kids has helped 1,208 Cozad children purchase new school clothes, totaling $96,870 invested directly into local families.

In 2025 alone, we supported 70 families and 159 children, providing $14,477 in new school clothing. Every dollar stays local. Every dollar changes a child’s school year.

How We Will Use Give BIG Funds

All funds raised during Give BIG Cozad will be used to purchase new school clothing for Cozad children in grades K–12. Your generosity directly equips kids with confidence, comfort, and the joy of starting the school year feeling valued.
