Cozad Elementary Parent Organization (CEPO)

CEPO works to bring support to the students, teachers, staff, and administration at Cozad Elementary! We organize fundraisers, plan celebratory events, and purchase supplies that help to enrich the elementary experience.

As we help to provide the school with extra resources, we hope that the students are given many opportunities for growth and are celebrated for their successes. We aim to give back to teachers and staff, showing our appreciation for all the ways they pour into our kids. We aim to honor teamwork and strong community values in our elementary kids that will hopefully continue to grow as they mature into adulthood.

We have lots of projects throughout the year! They all aim to help enrich the experience that students, staff, and families have at Cozad Elementary. Some efforts are meant to bring joy and enrichment to every student's experience at Cozad Elementary : card my yard on the first day, updated playground equipment, indoor recess carts for rainy days, snacks on Field Day, supplies for Nurse's station, specific grade level requests (pies for 1st grade, Christmas craft for Kindergarten, etc.) and providing supplies from Amazon wishlists for each classroom before each new school year. Some are for blessing the staff in the building and showing appreciation for all they do: meals during p/t conferences, a week of staff appreciation gifts in the Spring, involvement during parent nights, planning for Christmas gifts, thank you to retiring teachers. Some projects are to help meet a specific need or goal: shirts for field day/field trips to help identify students/classes from a distance. And some of our efforts celebrate great accomplishments of our students and encourage them as they strive for more growth academically and socially: movie day for students who meet their reading goal, Safety Patrol party, 5th Grade -moving on to Middle School celebration, pizza party for classes that win fundraising efforts, prizes for coloring contests, ticket prizes for character development, restocking book/token machine.

The staff and administration from Cozad Elementary are always so appreciative for the ways CEPO supports the efforts of the school and brings extra resources to their initiatives.

We hope to look to a few small playground additions this year. Soccer Goals need updated for the Elementary kids and the Preschool needs some simple but fun additions to their playground area.
