Who We Are

Founded in 1881, Re:Center Ministries reconciles homeless and hurting people to God, family, and community by the power of Christ in partnership with the local church. Re:Center's programs offer hope for a better life through campuses in both Louisville and Southern Indiana. Programs span a continuum of care - from prevention to relief to recovery - and provide holistic, high-impact answers to the problem of homelessness in our communities.

Our Services 

Emergency Relief Services

Drop-In Day Shelter is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-2p.m., serving women and their young children, providing a safe place to rest, store belongings, get mail, do laundry, and care for personal hygiene needs. We have also recently launched Bible and life skills classes available 3 days a week.

LifeChange: Stability is a 40-bed emergency overnight shelter where men can receive an overnight bed and other relief services such as laundry, showers, and referral to community services. Guest can stay up to 45 days, and our hope is that they will take the next step and commit to long-term life change through our LifeChange Program. 

Residential Services

LifeChange: Phase 1 is a 3-month residential program for men experiencing homelessness, battling addiction, transitioning from incarceration, or simply in need of change and restoration in their lives. We provide case management, biblical counseling, life skills classes, and workforce development at our Re:Center Farm and Garden. 

LifeChange: Phase 2 is a 12-month program for residents who have completed the LifeChange: Phase 2. In this phase, residents work jobs or volunteer in the community, live in efficiency apartments on property, and work with a case manager to develop a plan for a successful exit.
